Demystifying the Internet
and World Wide Web

The growth of the Internet and World Wide Web has been explosive, with new products and services being developed and released at a rate which is bewildering even for those of us working in this area on a day to day basis. This high level of hype and the turmoil it has created has left many executives suffering from Internet information overload. The result has been that whilst many organisations have heard of the Internet and WWW and may even have deployed a Web site, very few have a serious Internet strategy and few senior executives fully understand the real and immediate business benefits that the Internet and WWW can bring to their organisation.

We believe that deploying a well thought out Internet and World Wide Web strategy can provide a sustainable competitive advantage by:

  • encouraging valuable intra-company human collaboration and corporate information publishing and sharing
  • significantly reducing some communication costs by offloading international mail, faxes and voice calls onto the internet
  • provide better customer service with a global, 24 hours per day, 7 days per week Web based client support centre.
